1 day till eviction... otherwise know as D-Day.

Thursday is eviction day if the new baby doesn't arrive before then... I must have a pretty cushy womb; there have been LOTS of labor pains these last two weeks, but NO BABY! I've gotten to the point at which my stomach can't grow any larger; it already feels like it's going to rip open at my belly button any time I sneeze! It's due time to meet this little dude.

Along other lines, we've been busy as of late... some people call it "nesting", to me, it's just life.

My nephew Idrese from San Diego was in town until a week ago. He stayed with us one night during his visit; Noah was so excited about our house guest staying with us! In fact, I woke up the following morning to find Noah curled up in a ball, with his nose still tucked under the foot of Idrese's bedroom door! My guess is that Noah woke up early in the wee morning hours hoping Idrese would wake up... but during the wait, Noah fell back asleep! I wish I had taken a picture of it- it really was too precious for words, but I didn't think too in the moment.

While Idrese was visiting we went to see "Aliens in the Attic"; Tricia and all 8 of her kids came too. It was actually a cute family movie- but if you ask Noah about it, he'd tell you otherwise. He kept his ears covered through out the whole movie and probably would had covered his eyes too if he had more than two hands. The same day we went to the movies, we also went to the new Lindon pool to cool off. That place is pretty sweet considering they have a wave rider there! If I weren't pregnant, I might have tried riding a wave.

The Sunday night before Idrese left, we invited him and Trish's family over late in the evening to watch a movie outside. We had tons of movies to choose from, all of which Tricia and her family had already seen... really??? but they hadn't seen The Mummy, so we settled down to watch some good ol' Brandon Frasier mummy action out in the front of the house, drive in movie style from the back of our car, on a mattress, in camping chairs and on the love sack.

Swimming lessons continued for the boys. In fact, Noah started doubling up daily on swimming lessons two weeks ago. He started a preschool swimming course Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. for half an hour,

and following those group lessons, he took his private swim lessons. Until a week ago he was swimming for one hour every morning. Ian didn't take any group lessons, but did finish up his last week of private swim lessons with his swim instructor. Both the boys really enjoyed swimming lessons and actually learned quite a bit during the two months they did them. For now, they're over, but we might resume them again once after the baby is born.

As if swimming wasn't enough to tire Noah out by days end, following swim lessons, with only an hour in between to shower and get dressed, Noah also participated in Lehi's Itty Bitty Ball Soccer League for two weeks. His cousin Daniel joined him on the same team, Team Brazil, and together the boys had fun kicking around the ball and goofing off (he still hates warm ups and relay races though).

Quite possibly his goofiest team picture yet to date...
Noah and Daniel were the two shortest kids on their team.

No better way to cool off after practice then eating snow cones with the cousins.

Swimming lessons and soccer lessons were over by 12:30 every day, and if I didn't have errands to run or another doctor appointment to go to after wards, or wasn't too EXHAUSTED myself, I tried to take the boys swimming often at Seven Peaks Water Park. We usually made it there 3, sometimes 4 times a week. Swimming lessons and soccer lessons ended last Friday, so we've had a little bit of time to rest up before the new baby arrives, but yesterday I had the urge to hit the water park one last time with the boys, SO... since I didn't want to have any pregnancy mishaps at the water park should the baby decide it's D-day, I hired the help of my sister in law, Megan, to come along...

As always, the boys had fun... there were a couple of upsets, but nothing that troubled any one of the boys for too long. Cohen enjoyed the sun more than the water; I could hardly blame him for hating the water yesterday- the kiddie pool was FREEZING COLD; I could barely stand to wade in it for more than a few minutes.

Ian was fascinated half the time we were there with the waterfall

and Noah enjoyed riding down the miniature water slides during the time we were there.

We've celebrated a few birthdays in the past week or two with family. Spencer's older sister, Laura, had a birthday on the 1ST and my niece Bella, Tricia's youngest daughter, turned 3 years old on the 4TH.

She had a birthday party at Kangaroo Zoo in Pleasant Grove that we took the kiddos too. Noah had a hey day bouncing around on all the inflatables. Cohen hated to even set foot on one and it took Ian a good half hour to come around, but he was bouncing all over the place with the rest of the party guests and having a great time by nights end!

Bella is so stinkin' cute!
She almost makes me wish I'll have a daughter some day...

LOVE this picture of Daniel & Noah together...
doesn't it look like they're sharing some sort of juicy secret???

This past Saturday, Spencer and I dropped the boys off at his parents house and we went to the Real Salt Lake Soccer game in Sandy; we both reckoned during our drive to the game that that night could very well be our last "date night" alone for some time... Spencer thinks it will be YEARS before we have the opportunity to have another date night alone, but come on... seriously, what is he thinking?! We have plenty of family around who are always more than willing to watch our kiddos for us; how could adding another baby to our gang change that?! The game was actually a good game, with Real Salt Lake beating Seattle 1-0, and the weather was nice and comfortable too; not too hot, just a bit breezy and chilly- perfect sweater and blanket weather. The unusual cooler weather we've had this past week has made me anxious for Fall to arrive!

I've had a few scares the last couple of weeks, making me think I wouldn't actually make it to my induction date; but there hasn't been any REAL action to date forcing us to pack up and head off to Labor & Delivery, THANK GOODNESS, because until just a couple of days ago, I still hadn't gotten the infant car seat washed and ready, the bassinet put together, the baby swing set up, my hospital bag packed, or any of the baby clothes and blankets washed, folded or hung up for use. No need to worry though- it's all taken care of now, along with bags packed for the boys; they'll be heading off to my sister and mother in laws house tomorrow night until at least Friday, when hopefully I'll be able to return home from the hospital, pray should everything be fine with me and the new baby (it would be a miracle and a first, considering all 3 of the older boys have all had to stay in the NICU for some time immediately after birth). My parents are in New York right now, packing up some belongings from my grandparents house that we kids are to inherit, namely a few of the AMAZING model ships my grandpa built over the last 40 years or so(more on those to come in a later post); my folks are going to drive the ships cross country out here to Utah, hopefully arriving by Friday or Saturday, and then they'll stick around for a few days. I'm excited to have both my parents here as house guests, particularly because my dad has never gotten to see any of our boys as newborns. Spencer's flying out to Orange County, CA. on Saturday and won't return till Sunday afternoon/evening; he's attending one of his mission companion/good friends weddings... here's hoping my parents don't have too many delays during their travel here so that they can at least be here with me and all four boys by Saturday, otherwise, I just might have a crazy weekend in store for me ("sleepless" is probably a better suited word in this case). As I mentioned before, we hope that Noah will be able to resume some more private swimming lessons before summer ends completely, but can't be sure of it till we see how the new baby is doing, how we're adjusting to life as a family of 6 AND starting this next week, on August 20TH, NOAH WILL BEGIN PRESCHOOL!!! Yup, the time has come, our little man is headed off to school. We enrolled him in The Learning Dynamics Preschool in Orem and for now, he'll just attend twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday's. Should a spot open up, in the future, in the Mon/Wed/Fri class we'll move him into that. It's hard to believe my little man will be turning 4 in September!!! Spencer will be a bit busier than usual too; while still on the prowl for a full time teaching position as a High School English teacher, he's decided to become a substitute during the day; it doesn't pay much, which didn't surprise us, but it will give him valuable experience in the field of teaching. He's still busy running his own business in the mean time and keeping up with the homework he gets from his graduate classes. One more year of classes and he'll have his Masters! A lot is about to change here for our family of 5, soon to become family of 6! Hopefully in the next couple of weeks, as promised, we'll hear back on the house we've been patiently waiting for and under contract with; it's a beautiful home, but it's a short sell, so for past 100+ days we've been waiting to hear from the sellers bank whether or not if they'll accept our offer. It's frustrating, particularly when we'd like to buy another larger vehicle but don't want to before we find out what's going on with the house. (Which reminds me of something funny that happened just last night... we laid the boys down to sleep around 7:30. At around 9 o'clock, Spencer went upstairs to the computer room to find Noah AWAKE, sitting in the computer chair, typing on our computer. He had opened up a window in Firefox and explained to Spencer he was looking for a yellow car to buy online!!! Where on earth does this kid get his ideas?! Now I know why he was asking my sister Tricia a week ago where she kept her wallets- HE WANTS $$$ for a yellow car!). We're keeping our fingers crossed that we hear from the sellers bank SOON, and that the news we do receive is good news, and if it it is, that closing on the house can move quickly... I'm so tired of looking at houses already.

We'll be sure to post the news of the new baby once he's here (hope he doesn't decide to surprise us a day early; I'm planning on cleaning house tomorrow. I HATE the thought of coming home to a mess in the house with the new baby- gotta make sure it's spotless for his arrival!) We sure can't wait to meet HIM and see what, and whom he looks like. Even more interesting will be to see the other boys reaction to the new baby, particularly Cohen's. He's in for a real shake up!

Just a side note: As if I couldn't have made it any more clear in all of my previous "baby posts", REALLY, we're very excited this new baby will be a boy and we aren't the least bit disappointed it's not a girl. Some of our friends still seem to think we're bummed; maybe they're bummed for us, but we totally ARE NOT! I am however disappointed in the selection of boys newborn clothes that are out in stores right now. The clothes are so UGLY and I haven't seen anything cute; it's a good thing this isn't our first boy... we're lucky we have a HUGE selection of baby boys clothes from our previous 3 to dress our son in!
