A great Halloween craft

So I made actually made these shirts shown here last Halloween, but just last week I helped a friend make the same shirts. It's easy to do. First find some black shirts/baby onesies (Children's Place has baby onesie turtlenecks right now on sale). Next get a Clorox Bleach Pen. Find a plastic stencil of a Halloween or spooky picture. (If you can't find any stencils you like, you can always cut your own as I chose to do. Just print off a design, place it under a sheet of light plastic, and with an Exacto Knife you can cut it out.) Lastly, grab some push pins, a pouncer or a sponge brush and a piece of cardboard. Place the cardboard inside the shirt. With some push pins, pin the stencil onto your shirt- make sure you've centered it where you'd like the picture to be on your shirt. Now squirt some of the liquid bleach from the Clorox bleach pen into a plastic bowl and dip your pouncer or your sponge brush into the bleach and lightly pounce it all over stencil. Make sure you don't miss a spot. After you've thoroughly filled in all of the empty spots; you should instantly see some color change. You can either leave the stencil pinned onto the shirt or you can remove it once you've finished bleaching. Let the shirt stand for between 8-12 hours or until the color of the picture has gotten to the lightness you want it at. (You may need to add a little more bleach if it's not getting quite as light as you want it to be). When your shirt is done bleaching, remove the cardboard and place the shirt in a cold water wash by itself. Wash it through two cold water cycles, and then dry as you normally would. Your shirt is done! You can make these shirts anytime- they're super cute and easy- you can even make them using shirts that are all one bold color other than black- blue, orange, red, purple- all of these colors work.
