Sweet Treats...

Don't those look yummy?... Well I found a way to beat the expense of buying Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factories caramel candy apples by making my own. It's apple season, so apples are fairly cheap, and with Halloween right around the corner, candy is cheap everywhere, so along with some caramel and Giradelli Milk chocolate chips I could use to melt, I had all the right ingredients to make these delicious treats. In fact, I spent most of Sunday afternoon making 30 apples! They're the perfect treat to wrap up and distribute to friends as favors. I found that Butterfinger, and Snicker bars work the best as a topping for the apples. I tried to use M&M's and Reeses Pieces but those two candies didn't look as good on the apples.
