Our Park City family retreat in October...

Spencer had a couple of days off of work in October so we spent those days up in Park City with the rest of his family.  His parents reserved a couple of condos for each of our families through their time share, so enjoyed some good quality time together during the daytime and evenings, but still actually got some good rest at night.

We spent a lot of time in Grandma and Grandpa Campbell's suite, watching movies or playing games.

We also took the boys swimming once, but the pool, even though it was heated, still was a little too cold for comfort.  The boys drew and colored a lot with their cousins.  Ian actually found himself in BIG trouble with grandma when she discovered he had colored all over the bedding in one bedroom with a black marker. Coming to his defense though, I explained he wasn't completely at fault and shouldn't be solely blamed for the incident because someone older left the marker out for him to color with.  Adults should really know better than to leave markers laying around for younger kids to grab... It's begging for disaster!  (That's why in our home, markers, pens, crayons, scissors, etc. are all kept in lock and safe).

We ate together... we played together...
Park City has an AMAZING children's park.  The boys spent a couple of hours playing on the equipment there; after which they headed over to the football fields to play some ball.  I got to kick the soccer ball around with Spencer some; I had forgotten how good it feels to play soccer and just kick a ball.  Yes, it's been YEARS since I'd done it last.  I should really try to find a recreational women's soccer team to join.

It was nice getting away with our little fam and relatives.  The fall colors in Park City and along the drive to and from there were exquisite and the weather was perfect!
