Letters to Santa...

For Family Home Evening Monday night, Spencer decided as an activity to help the boys make a list of things they'd like for Christmas so they can send it off to Santa early enough that Santa (a.k.a. Mom & Dad) can get Christmas shopping done before the BUSY mad rush at toy stores...

At first the boys requests seemed reasonable...

Noah wanted some new Dr. Seuss books, along with a bouncy ball, possibly a race car track (okay, it was starting to get a little pricier with each additional request)... then he got stumped and couldn't think of anything, so we told him to think about it while we helped his brothers...

Cohen didn't request anything... No seriously, we couldn't get him to tell us ONE thing he wanted for Christmas ... we even showed him a toy catalog and hoped he'd show us something in it that he wanted but he didn't!  That's our kinda kid: easy to please and satisfied with what he already had.

Ian also asked for a bouncy ball, some candy and $$$money$$$ (of course money... he would!); he would also like some fruit snacks (simple enough) and MASHED POTATOES (no joke)...

That's it! I'm telling you, our kids are easy to please... or so we thought BUT THEN, NOAH dropped THE BOMB on us!!!

He added that along with his Dr. Seuss books and bouncy ball, he also wanted a DOG (to which, Spencer immediately looked at me with a stern look in his eye and said "Don't even THINK about it!"... we still have to get grass put in the backyard and a fence installed around the house before we can own a dog) AND as if the dog request wasn't impossible already, Noah said he would like Santa to put a swimming pool in our back yard!!!  Because although our neighborhood swimming pool is "fun and all" he'd like his "very own"!

Either Santa better start digging in the backyard TODAY or we're going to have one sad kid Christmas morning.

For the record, it wouldn't surprise me at all if you put in a pool. You love water too much to say no to that one, Steph! ;)
