The view from Squaw Peak.
Another view of the valley from Squaw Peak.
The boys... Ian & Noah.
We went for a drive this past
Friday, and then
again this afternoon,
along the Alpine Loop in the mountains, through Midway and up to Squaw Peak to admire the beautiful fall colors on the trees. We started to notice from down in the valley about a week or two ago, colors of
orange,
yellow and
red dotting the mountain side. Noah was actually the first in our family to point this out to any of the rest of us; he made the observation during a car trip home from preschool. He asked Spencer why the mountains were suddenly
red and
orange... Spencer tried his best to explain to Noah that the leaves on the trees in the mountains were changing colors but realized Noah would never completely understand what he was talking about
unless we showed him...
so that is what we did! Autumn is here in Utah, my favorite time of year
(though it might not feel like it yet it was 89 degrees today)!
Why can't Utah look like this all the time?! It's a feast for the eyes to behold!
