Boys 1ST B.Y.U. football game...

Spencer DID IT!  He swore he wouldn't until Noah was at least 7 or 8 years old, but he did it anyways.... he took Noah (6) and Ian (4) to their very first B.Y.U. football game!  

Spencer has season tickets, 6 tickets to every game, and for some reason or other, no one wanted to go to this last game - it was a night game on Saturday; it didn't begin until 7... perhaps no one cared to go because it was against a pretty easy team to beat- U. of Idaho or maybe it's because no one wanted to brave the elements--- it was pretty chilly all day Saturday- with snow flurries, here and there and the evening wasn't any exception... weather.com said it was 37 degrees but felt like 31 degrees.  Brrr!!!!

Anyhow, the boys were SO.EXCITED to go to their 1ST game.  After bundling them up in thigh high soccer socks, with another pair of socks over those, boots, pants, two long sleeved shirts, a sweatshirt, their thick wool winter coat AND a beanie, they were ready to go!!!

Spencer had his doubts about how long they would last into the game but they lasted until the middle of the 3RD quarter... NOT BAD, considering B.Y.U. was totally beating U. of Idaho... I read the final score was 42-7.  If it were me at the game, I would have lost interest after the first quarter!

F.y.i. Don't ask, I don't have any idea WHY on earth my boys said they were in a toilet!  They're at that age now where they think it's SO FUNNY to say ridiculous stuff like that.

And... just in case if you wondering--- I enjoyed a nice, semi quiet evening at home with our three younger boys... the babe slept while Bentley and Cohen trashed their toy room!  Seriously, they trashed it.  It took me over an hour to sort through the mess and put things back in their proper containers, drawers and baskets.  Boy those two together!  They're TROUBLE!  It was all good though- while they were busy trashing the toy room, I got to spend 2 fabulous hours blabbing on the phone with my sister Tricia.  We had important things to discuss--- i.e. our kids, husbands, the holidays, clothes, fashion trends, blogs to read, politics- YES POLITICS- and our family reunion we're getting together for next summer in Bear Lake!
